Frequently Asked Questions
Office Visits
What will happen at my first visit?
When you come in, our receptionist will greet you and you will be given a tour of the office. We'll have you fill out standard new patient forms (or you can download them here), and an assistant will go over your medical history and prescriptions with you.

You will need to have x-rays and an exam done in order for the doctor to detect any issues in your mouth and properly diagnose you. Afterwards you will meet with our treatment coordinator to discuss treatment options and finances. You will be able to schedule your treatment before leaving the office, or possibly even get started right away if time allows.
How long will my visit be?
For a new patient visit, you can expect about an hour and a half for the full exam, x-rays and treatment discussion. With a cleaning, your visit will take at least two hours. Please let us know if you are interested in a cleaning when scheduling your visit so we can reserve time with the hygienist for you.
How much is this going to cost me?
Every patient is different, which means the investment in your smile is going to depend on your needs. Our treatment coordinator will be able to sit down with you and go over the services, costs, financing options and insurance. We may also have special offers available for a limited time to help save you money.
Are dental X-rays safe?
Patients are understandably concerned about being exposed to radiation. However, the amount of radiation from a dental x-ray is minimal, making them safe for both children and adults when done properly. X-rays are important when diagnosing any issues you may have with your mouth.

Dental x-rays while pregnant are also safe with proper shielding. Please let your dentist know if you are pregnant.
Can I be "knocked out" for my procedure?
While we do not put any of our patients to sleep during procedures, we do offer conscious sedation to help you relax during your visit. We do our best to make your treatment comfortable and as pain-free as possible.
Do you see children?
Yes! We see many families and their children here in our office.
Do you accept Medicaid/Medicare?
While we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare, we accept all patients. Many of our Medicaid/Medicare patients choose one of our financing options.
Do you take payments?
Many of our patients make payments using CareCredit. Click here to learn more.
I don't have insurance. Do you finance?
We have CareCredit available to our patients to help finance treatment. Click here to learn more.
I have a dental emergency and can't get a hold of a dentist. What should I do?
We'll always try to help out with dental emergencies during our regular office hours. If you're having a problem on weekends or evenings, we'll try to provide you necessary help to get you through to the next business day. If you have a problem that just can't wait, we recommend that you go to an urgent care facility or the emergency room.
